David Earl Shaw, 69, passed away at his residence on Aug. 14, 2018.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel and also noon-2 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shaws Hill Cemetery (345 Hinton Road, Laurel). Brother Ken Harrison will officiate.
Mr. Shaw was a mechanic most of his life, working for D & W Motors and also for himself. He loved hotrods, was very talented and a “hands-on man.” He had a love for life and for kids, was loving, kind and big-hearted. He was well respected in his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl L. Shaw and Dorris Carter Shaw; brother Stephen Shaw; sister Laura Hutchinson; stepson Miss. State Trooper Paul Denham; and nephew Phillip S. Shaw.
Survivors include his wife of four years Teresa Shaw; sons Anthony Shaw (Amanda) and Caleb Shaw; grandchildren Allie Smith, Benjamin Shaw, Kelsey Shaw, Chelsa Shaw, Brook Shaw, Brandon White, Candace White, Madison White, Sarah Elizabeth Denham Dastugue, John Daniel Denham Dastugue, Katelyn Nowell, Michael Graham, Zachary Ramirez, Dynistie Ramirez, Emma Ramirez and Miguel Ramirez Jr., Kristina Smith, Joshua Smith, Danny Smith III, Hailey Smith and Kayden Smith; brother Phillip Shaw (Gail); a host of nieces and nephews; special long-time friends Cindy and Mickey Ramirez; and honorary brother and sister William and Sandra White.
Pallbearers will be William White, Mickey Ramirez, Brandon White, Anthony Shaw, Dustin Cranford, Ray Pitts, Mike Wilkerson and Danny Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Micheal Graham, Gilberto Santiago and Caleb Shaw.
