Jane Gurnett is best known to Emmerdale viewers for her role as Faye.
However, the star has had quite the history before her debut on the Dales in 2023, The Daily Star is looking back on her life on-screen.
Her first role which she starred alongside Imogen Stubbs - wife of British Theatre Director Trevor Nunn - as well as the Bill's Colin Tarrant and Olivier Award nominated actress Kate Buffery in the BBC miniseries, The Rainbow.

She played the role of a young Anna Brangwen in 1988, before later going onto earn a part in Drowning by Numbers that same year, where she starred alongside Joely Richardson.

Her parts increased in the 90's where she starred in the hit medical drama Casualty for two-years in 1994 until 1996, playing the role of Rachel Longworth.
After her stint in the fictional hospital, she later starred in two series of the drama Dangerfield in 1998 and 1999 alongside huge names including Nigel Havers and Hugh Dancy.
She played the role of DI Gillian Kramer in the police drama alongside Idris Elba who played DC Matt Gregory.
The actress had a stint in Real Woman in those years before embarking on roles in various soaps.

Jane later joined the cast of Crossroads for two years between 2001 and 2003 where she played the role of Kate Russell.
After her stint ended, she took a break from acting where she moved to Warwick School to teach Drama.
In 2018, the star stepped back from teaching to set up an organization which is designed to help teachers and parents work with children who have autism.
Jane later returned to acting in order to star in the soap opera Doctors in 2022, where she joined the cast as Verity Foster.

The actress played the manager of a funeral home who fires Lucy Palmer (Jayne-Butler) for transphobic comments she made to Suzanne Towers (Mariah Luca).
This in turn led to her role as Faye Helders in Emmerdale a year later, a woman who goes on a date with Mary Goskirk (played Louise Jameson).
Mary came out as gay in June last year and fans will know this is her first relationship with a woman since opening up about her sexuality.
However, Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson has confirmed Mary is heading for heartbreak as Faye turns out to be a scammer.
