Tom Cruise has hinted he has no plans to retire anytime soon just after celebrating his birthday in Sydney, Australia at the preimiere of Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One. The film will be released on July 10, with part 2 following next year.
With a career spanning over three decades, the “hardest working man in Hollywood” has more than left his mark, although Tom Cruise hopes to keep on going for another two decades, just like another Hollywood ‘legend.’

With seven Mission Impossible movies under his belt, (and an eighth to come next year), it looks like Tom Cruise isn’t ready to retire anytime soon, much like ‘legend’ Harrison Ford.
“Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to be still going; I’ve got 20 years to catch up with him,” Cruise told The Sydney Herald at his Australian premiere.
“I hope to keep making Mission: Impossible films until I’m his age,” the Top Gun star continued.

Therefore, if the Mission Impossible Star was to carry on until he was 80, he’d still be entertaining film buffs worldwide until 2042!
Harrison Ford, on the other hand, is 20 years his senior at 81. Although Ford ended his iconic Indiana Jones run at aged 80, he recently revealed he also had no plans to retire anytime soon.

Taking to his 10.2 million Instagram followers, Cruise thanked fans for attending the premiere, as he captioned his ‘birthday photo dump’:
“It was great to spend my birthday with fans today. Thanks for coming out to the premiere!” the newly turned 61-year-old wrote.
Of course, his co-stars Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Rebecca Ferguson, and Vanessa Kirby had to give Tom a birthday surprise as they can be seen revealing a Mission Impossible birthday cake for the star.
